Groundbreaking & Reveal Day 2017

Reveal Day Ceremony – April 13, 2017

The 20th Annual Reveal Day Ceremony marked the completion of this year’s Many Hands Project at Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre. We were joined by Niagara College Faculty, Board Members and staff from Hotel Dieu Shaver, Councillor Carlos Garcia and Deputy Mayor Matt Harris, and students from the Event Management and Construction Renovation Technician programs. We were so proud to unveil “The Marketplace” which is a brand-new therapy space for patients and therapists at Hotel Dieu. The fundraising efforts of the 2017 Event Management class raised $42,400 in support of this year’s project. We would like to thank everyone who supported us along the way and look forward to seeing how the Marketplace transforms over time!

Groundbreaking Ceremony – January 13, 2017

Groundbreaking Ceremony marked the official start to the construction and creation of the Marketplace at Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre.

The renovations at Hotel Dieu Shaver performed by Renovation Technician students will create a Marketplace for patients to relearn daily living skills and regain their independence to enable people to reach their optimal level of health and well-being. This space will be creating a physical and cognitive rehabilitation space by incorporating real-world obstacles such as shopping, banking and a dining experience.
